TOURNAMENT RULES
The Kiely Cup commences Sunday afternoon, September 19th. Fifteen teams in threesomes tee off under a shotgun start at 1 PM. Following the conclusion of players, coaches gather for a banquet and presentation in the Picard Room. All Parents and friends are invited to attend at $25 per plate. The final round tees off Monday morning, September 20th, at 9 AM followed by a cookout and award ceremony on the Canterbury patio.

Format:  The lowest 4 of 5, 36-hole scores determine the winning team under USGA rules for stroke play.

Tees:  Black Tee Markers

USGA Rules will govern all play, except as noted in the Local Rules.

  Local Rules:
•    Embedded Ball Rule is in Effect Through the Green – Appendix I, Part B. 4a.
•    The following defines Out of Bounds:
•    White Stakes or White Lines (when a line is using the line determines out of bounds).
•    Property Boundary Stakes:  By the inside edge at ground level.
•    Flower Beds:  Mandatory Relief as Ground Under Repair – Proceed as in Rule 25-1.
•    Sod Seams:  Relief is given for the lie of the ball only.

Inclement Weather:  In the event of inclement weather, a continuous solid tone from the siren suspends play. A continuous high-low tone three times resumes play.  Under suspension mark your ball and seek shelter immediately.  DO NOT resume play until you hear the all-clear signal. If play cannot continue the schedule of play will be as follows:  Scoring will be against par for the number of holes completed by the field.

In case of a tie for First Place in the Team Division, ties are broken as follows: The fifth player’s score will count.  If still tied, the combined scores of the lowest four players of each team on the second nine holes will determine the winning team.  If still tied, the combined scores of the last six holes of the second nine will determine the winners.  If still tied, the last three holes will determine the winners.  If still tied, the final hole played will determine the winner.  If still tied, Co-Champions will be declared.

In case of a tie for the Individual Medalist:  If two players are tied – Co-Medalists will be determined.  If more than two players are tied, a match of cards using the USGA formula (second nine holes, last six of second nine, last three, and last) will determine the Medalist.
